Hey all! And a warm welcome to Solving Lady Life. I’m a pretty regular person – I work all day and…well, try to sleep all night. During the moments in between, I love to consume knowledge. I would like to share some of that knowledge with you here.
Particularly, I would like to share knowledge with you tips I’ve learned on being a woman. They’re tips I wish someone had told me when I was growing up, and tips that I would like to share with my little sister as she grows up – and eventually my own children. A lot of these are things I’ve just come across in my life and wanted to investigate, but they’re things that I couldn’t just find in one place to make my life as a woman easier.
I am not a healthcare practitioner. What you read on my website is just what I, a commoner, have been able to learn through my own research. I’m a woman and know many women (surprised?), so it’s something about which I’m passionate and would like to share.
I’m a Woman
As I mentioned, I work full time. My commute is anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes each direction (yep, that long), so I listen to topics that I’m interested in during my drive. When I find something particularly fascinating, I look up more about it at home. These topics range from world history to taking care of myself to why random holidays are such a big thing in the United States.
When I was growing up, I feel like my education on myself was neglected. How to take care of myself, how to recognize what’s happening in my body, and even how many different techniques there are to shave my legs! Since I’ve become an adult, I’ve learned that I have so many different options and possibilities available to me and want to help other women find these options to make better-informed decisions about their own lives.
Women Need Answers
Here comes Solving Lady Life. Womanhood has so many aspects, including mental and physical health, self care, and items that belong more to humanity in general like budgeting time and money. I’d like to be able to help bring the noise around these subjects down to a soft babble with resources. The goal is to help other women know basics and be pointed in the right direction for more detailed information. This goes for anything from getting rid of hair to birth control to cool devices.
Rather than letting women search all across the internet for information, I figured I would help to create a single location that would be a great place to start research and learning. I’ll do my best, but please email me or comment on a post if you see something you aren’t so sure about! I want everyone to feel like they’re making decisions based on hard facts and knowledge rather than, “My mom/sister/grandma/best friend’s third cousin twice removed said so.” They’re decisions about your body. You should understand them fully.
If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them here, in an article, or shoot me an email and I would love to chat.
All the best,
